A successful institutional equities trading firm is expanding into agency options with a research-driven model. They seeking an experienced player-coach to build and lead this desk while remaining active in research production and client coverage.
You'll establish an agency options sales platform that generates institutional flow through research and strategic trade ideas. This is a hands-on role: you'll be writing research, covering key clients directly, and building the team around you as the business scales.
Required:
- 10+ years in equity derivatives with deep expertise in research, strategy, or institutional sales
- Demonstrated ability to create research that generates real trading activity (not just commentary)
- Established buy-side client relationships and credibility in the options community
- Track record as both individual contributor and team builder
- Comfortable being hands-on: this is a lean organization where you'll be doing the work, not just managing
- Deep expertise in equity options strategies, volatility trading, and market structure
Ideal Background:
- Experience launching or scaling a derivatives research/sales effort
- Entrepreneurial DNA: willing to write research one day, recruit the next, pitch clients the third
Global quantitative trading firm seeks an exceptional Quantitative Research Lead to join their NY office. The role will be responsible for driving the research agenda and guiding ongoing R&D projects. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team focused in equities, futures statistical arbitrage or HFT.
Qualified candidates will possess a graduate degree in applied math, statistics/ML, computer science/engineering, or similar field, PhD a plus, proficiency in C++, Python or R for advanced data research and modeling and proven ability to lead a team and develop junior talent. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate an ability to formulate, test, and implement research ideas quickly and robustly in a dynamic environment.
